Is there a digital-only subscription?
Yes. A digital-only subscription gives you full access to snexplores.org for $10 / year, including a PDF of each print issue. Visit our subscribe page to get started.
How do I renew my subscription?
Renew online through the Print Renewals portal, or call 1-855-358-7188. We’ll mail or email a renewal notice when your term is ending.
How do I update my address?
Update it in the subscriber portal, call 1-855-358-7188, or email subscriptions@snexplores.org — please include both your old and new address so we can find your account.
How do I give a gift subscription?
Visit our Gift Subscriptions page. You’ll have the option to send an email or postcard announcing your gift.

How do I cancel my subscription?
All print subscriptions can be canceled through the subscriber portal or by calling 1-855-358-7188. Auto-renewing subscriptions stop at the end of the current paid term.
How do I order back issues?
Email subscriptions@snexplores.org to request past print issues. Articles published online are currently free to read at snexplores.org.

Reading & Classroom Use
Do I need to subscribe to read articles online?
No. Every story on snexplores.org is currently free to read — subscribing gets you the print magazine.
Who is the magazine written for?
Stories use vocabulary and sentence structure that work for readers ages 9–14. The breadth of topics, however, makes the magazine a popular read for teens and adults too — we say 9 to 99+ and we mean it.
Can I use Science News Explores in my classroom?
Yes. Most stories include a readability score, a Power Words glossary and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) codes. See our Education Resources page for more.
Can I order print copies for my school or classroom?
